  Peer Supervision and Business Growth Group for Therapists

As you may know, supervision is a requirement of most of the main therapy bodies. With regulation upon us and confusion between, for example, the Advertising Standards Agency and our various regulatory bodies, it seems vital to compare notes with practitioners from a variety of fields – from talk therapy and hypnotherapy to energy and body work.

This group has been set up by four therapists who are interested in the potential for interdisciplinary dialogue and though this started because a couple of us were looking for specific hypnotherapy supervision, we soon discovered that the core codes and ethics of our various techniques and approaches were essentially the same and it was clear that some coaches and therapists we had encountered over the years hadn't realised not only the importance of supervision but even what it is - or that it is required.

Meetings first Thursday of each month - 7 - 9.30pm

Supervision will be in blocks of 6 monthly meetings, the first lot started on Thursday, October the 6th and is running until April 2012 (break in Jnauary). Meetings will be in two parts - the first half will be supervision and the second part will be for talks, presentations, workshops on all aspects of our therapy practice - schedule to be proposed by the membership ideally.

COST: £60 – for the six-month membership - this includes audio downloads if appropriate of the second part of each meeting, valuable if you have to miss a meeting (not the supervision part which of course is strictly confidential). Also includes those very valuable CPD certificates!

The audio downloads are through joining a google group - only open to members to keep confidentiality intact.

If you cannot make it the whole block but are interested in some of the presentations/mini workshops then you can attend any of these for a fee of £5 - please contact me beforehand about this!

We are sorry but the supervision part is not open to "drop ins' as an atmoshere of trust and safety needs to be maintained. The group will be opened up again at the end of each six month period and we will start planning the next lot in February 2012. If you are interested in having a say please contact one of us.
